Help save our own lives!
Anyone can move branches
Join other Conifer volunteers and help thin trees along our major evacuation routes. It’s fun and a great way to meet new friends and your neighbors! Conifer Rotary and community volunteers are tackling the 7 roads that are the only way out of Conifer, and therefore most likely to trap evacuees in traffic jams with flames on the side of the road.
Conifer Rotary is organizing. We have insurance for all volunteers, pay the costs for traffic plans and slash drop-off, and obtain the county permits. The county is providing traffic control. CORE and Xcel have agreed to cut trees along power lines. And many of our tree companies are providing free or extremely discounted work on the biggest trees.
June 6, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pleasant Park Road, south of Oehlmann Park Road, starting on southwest side. Lee’s Trees is providing professionals to cut the largest trees. Most people will be hauling branches to trailers. We need you! Teens needed too! https://www.signupgenius.com/…/20F0849AEAF2DAAFA7…
