New Credit Policies

By in Uncategorized with 0 Comments

There are some big changes coming from the credit reporting agencies. Effective June 8, 2018, the following changes will go into effect:
Collection accounts that are not at least 180 days old will not be reported, allowing you to pay the collection account before it hurts your credit scores.
Medical collections that are being paid through insurance or that have already been paid will be removed from your credit report.
Collection accounts that have not been updated for the past 6 months will be removed from your report or not factored into your credit scores.
Any collection account that did not arise from a contract or agreement to pay by you will be removed from your credit report. This includes things like collections for traffic tickets and library fines.
These changes will possibly significantly increase your credit score.
