We are often asked if a veteran can have more than one VA loan.
The answer is YES, provided the veteran has bonus entitlement available to use. Bonus entitlement is any unused portion of the veteran’s total home loan entitlement.
In the Denver metro counties, the total entitlement available to veterans is $493,350. If a VA borrower has not used all of that entitlement when they bought their existing home, and they want to purchase a new primary residence and keep their current house as a rental, they can use whatever entitlement is left to purchase the new house.
